Together with the Lagerhäuser, RWA accompanies and supplies Austria’s farmers as a strong partner in the entire production process – from seed, fertilisers and crop protection to the optimal marketing of agricultural products. We offer a comprehensive range of services and state-of-the-art know-how. We see ourselves as drivers of innovation in the agricultural sector. With our international subsidiaries and as a trans-regional trading group we create access to new purchasing and selling markets and, with our innovative supply chain management, act as a partner to the processing industry.
Our activities & services
- The purchase, storage, transport and marketing of agricultural products from conventional and organic sources as a trading company with a focus on supply chain management in Central and Eastern Europe

- Authorised seed certification, authorised calibration facility for analytical instruments
- Wholesalers in Austria and international traders in the Central and Southeast European Regions in crop protection products, fertilisers and agricultural inputs for wine and fruit growing and organic farming

Our innovations & new concepts
- Research in and development of new agricultural varieties
- Tailor-made fertilisers – soil sampling devices and analysis, duengerplan.at online advice platform, individualised and needs-based mixes of fertilisers from the Lagerhaus
- Agricultural drone service: aerial photography in order to estimate hail and frost damage, near-infrared images in order to determine differences in vegetation (soil, plant nutrition, pests etc.), thermal images in order to prevent damage caused by game, rescue fawns and control solar and photovoltaic equipment. Inspection flights over silos, storage buildings and wind turbines, delivery of control agents such as Trichogramma against the European corn borer
- Optimisation of milking machines
- Development and establishment of innovative business models such as contract cultivation on the basis of prices from commodity futures exchanges (premium contracts) with optional minimum price guarantees for farmers and/or maximum price guarantees for processors
- Contract cultivation of organic lentils; contract cultivation of gluten-free malting barley
- Establishment and continuous development of a quality assurance standard (GMP+ international) within a quality-oriented RWA and Lagerhaus group
- The mobile winery-technology service team repairs and services wine-making machinery from Lagerhaus and offers top-quality assembly (installation/assembly of cooling lines, fermentation controls, cooling plates; operational start and maintenance)
- Establishment and continuous development of the PREZISO own brand in the area of oenology and filtration, cellar cleaning and screw tops. Personal oenological consultancy and digital service (products, certificates and test reports) at preziso.at
- Specialist and legal crop protection consultancy and online advice programmes such as “spritzplan.at”: a quick and easy way of finding the fitting crop protection response to pests, illnesses or weeds. Also available as a mobile version for smartphone or tablet
- The departments of the business area ‘Equipment’ work closely together with universities, schools, agricultural training facilities and official bodies
- Transport platform: internet-based communication and optimisation tool for the management and award of transport services
